Marie Doherty

Marie Doherty, 97, of the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, died at Brooks County Hospital on Wednesday, December 27, 2006. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, on February 12, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Albert and May Gardner Pickard. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

Mrs. Doherty is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ed and Linda Doherty of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Father John O’Brien will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
