Marie Dennis

Marie Dennis, 66 of Lake Park, died on Saturday, August 27, 2005 after a sudden illness. Born in Adel to the late E.W. & Oria Stephens, she had been a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Dennis was a homemaker, had also worked for Levi Strauss for 10 years, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Gene Dennis, of Lake Park; a son and daughter in law, Billy Eugene & Susan Elaine Dennis, of Lake Park; two daughters and sons in law, Marian Marie & Howie Hartman, of Valdosta, and Deborah Denise & James Rogers of Lake Park; seven grandchildren, Paula Elaine Dennis, Billy Eugene Dennis, Jr., Travis Eli Dennis, all of Lake Park, Yancey Lee Hartman, of Valdosta, Sarena Marie Stone, Danny Tomlinson, both of Lake Park, and Darrell Dennis of Dasher. Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Robert Tyler Cook, Dawson Scott Cook and Taylor Denise Stone; a brother and sister in law, Elwood & Marjorie Stephens of Lake Park and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son, James Darrell Dennis, Sr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dennis will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at Corinth Baptist Church in Lake Park. Dr. Henry Cannington will officiate. Burial will follow at Corinth Church Cemetery.
