Marian Glenda Mccrary Futch

Marian Glenda McCrary Futch, 85, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She was born on March 31, 1933 in Pinehurst, GA to the late Thomas Felton McCrary and Carrie Mae Dowis McCrary. Glenda grew up in Cook County and lived in Lowndes County for many years. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Glenda was a retired beautician who owned Azalea Beauty Shop. She loved to crochet, enjoyed making ceramics, and doing crossword puzzles.
Glenda is survived by her husband of 65 ½ years, William Elbert Futch, of Valdosta, her daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Lewis Roberts of White, GA, and Pam Futch of Woodstock, GA, her granddaughter, Nikki Robichaux, her great grandchildren, Justin and Stephanie Robichaux, Alissa Robichaux, Robyn Miller, Brad Miller, and Trevor Miller, and a great great granddaughter Lily Kate Robichaux, her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jackie McCrary of Valdosta, Remer and Tina Futch of Ashburn, GA, and Ruth Futch of Valdosta, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Guy and Robbie McCrary, Virgil McCrary, and Billy and Lois McCrary, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewell and James Templeton and Joyce and John Williams.
A funeral service for Glenda will be held at Northside Baptist Church on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bob Willis and Dr. Gary Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Sparks Cemetery in Sparks, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church.
