Margie Corbett Shepard, 77, of Lake Park passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Fellowship Home following a lengthy illness. She was born on November 15, 1932 in Redell Florida to the late Warren Yancey and Emmy Rantha Crews Corbett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Loch Laurel Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and going to church. She loved to pray for everyone and when she was able, she loved to cook for her family especially chicken biscuits and potato salad.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Milton Ruby Shepard of Lake Park; three daughters and a son-in-law, Betty and Robert Long of Lake Park, Barbara Johnson of Lake Park and Rebecca Luke Mitchell of Jacksonville, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, William Warren and Dot Mitchell of Tennessee; a step-daughter and her husband, Donna and Gary Gosser of Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Myra and John Miller of Lake Park, and Inez and Dallas Neighbors of Nashville; one brother, Arnold M. Corbett of Lake Park; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Margie Corbett Shepard will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home of Lake Park with Rev. Milton Sellars officiating. The burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
