Margaret Sutton Miley

Margaret Sutton Miley, 84, of Hahira, died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Lakehaven Nursing Home in Valdosta. She was born on June 9, 1922 in Lowndes County to the late Will and Willie Tommy Franklin Sutton. Mrs. Miley was a nurses aide at Smith Hospital for many years, was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and attended Hahira First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Virgil Raymond (Sonny) Miley, Jr. and Linda Miley, four daughters and sons in law, Ruth Ann and Bobby Edmondson, Mary Ellen and John Chitwood, Nancy and Freddy Stalvey, Pam and Ken Akins all of Hahira, one son in law, Denny Whitehead of Memphis, TN and one daughter in law, Vicky Miley of Hahira, fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one brother, O. B. Sutton of Florida, one sister, Earlene Allen of Lake Park. Mrs. Miley is predeceased by her husband, Virgil Raymond Miley, Sr., one daughter, Willene Whitehead and one son, John H. Miley.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 11 a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend David Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Tuesday at the Martin McLane Funeral Home.
