Margaret Mccranie Arnold

April 15, 1919 — December 29, 2004

Margaret McCranie Arnold, 85 of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at her residence. Born on April 15, 1919, in Eastman, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jackson and Sarah Hendrix McCranie. She was an active member of the Lee Street Baptist Church, now known as Crossroads Baptist Church. Mrs. Arnold was also a Pink Lady at South Georgia Medical Center, a member of the Camellia Society, the Daylily Society and the Swingin’ Squares Dance Club.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Gianna Golding of Lake Park; sisters, Beatrice Rodgers and Mildred Weeks, both of Valdosta; brothers, Owen J. McCranie and John O. McCranie, both of Valdosta and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Francis Arnold.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 31, 2004 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Carr officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
