Margaret Ann (Pandy) Stephens Hasty, 63, of Naylor died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Valdosta on November 7, 1950 to Margaret Rigdon Stephens and the late James Stephens, Sr. and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Hasty was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and was currently employed with Valdosta Medical Clinic and worked previously for Southern Bell. She loved her grandchildren and family more than anything and always had a smile on her face. Mrs. Hasty loved working in her yards and helping people.
Survivors include her son, Ron Hasty, Jr. of Marietta, her daughter, Leigh Ann Hasty of Valdosta, twin grandsons, Barrett Yawn and Woodson Yawn, her mother and stepfather, Margaret and Bobbie Brooks of Valdosta, two brothers and a sister in law, James Stephens, Jr. of Lakeland, Wayne and Andrea Stephens of Hungary, stepbrother and stepsister in law, Jerry and Jan Brooks of Valdosta, her friend and companion, Richard Pittman of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Hasty and her father, James Stephens, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2pm in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Deran Hardeman and Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
