Mae Nell Barrentine Clayton

Mae Nell Barrentine Clayton, 74, of Valdosta died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her home. She was born on October 7, 1938 in Naylor to the late Ivey and Estelle Harris Barrentine and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Clayton was a member of the Ministry Baptist Church in Ray City. She enjoyed her homelife, raising and caring for children and growing her flowers.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Clayton of Valdosta, her son and daughter in law, Danny and Jane Clayton of Mississippi, her daughter and son in law, Diane and Gerald Bebe of Valdosta, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother and sister in law, James and Margaret Barrentine of Kissimmee, FL, sister in law and brother in law, Linda and Richard Bennett of Lake Park, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lynn Clayton Hancock, a sister, Pearl Tanner and two brothers, Marvin Barrentine and Frank Barrentine.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Montgomery and Rev. James Easler officiating.
