Mae E. Davis

Mae E. Davis, 89 of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL. Born on May 11, 1917 in Chariton County, MO, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Lavlet Eiring and the widow of Harry M. Davis who died in 1981. Mrs. Davis had lived in Valdosta since 1951. She was a retired legal secretary and was employed for many years with the firm of Coleman & Kitchens, Attorneys. She was a member of the Alter Guild and a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Martha Jane Davis of Ocala, FL and Roger and Carol Davis of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, Tim Davis, Meredith Tracy, Lauren Novak, Julie Hedgecock and Reynolds DeLisle; seven great grandsons; and a sister, Pauline McNeal of Salisbury, MO.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2006 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Varnado officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
