Lynda H. Forthe, 81, of Lake Park, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in St. Augustine, FL, after a battle with two non-related cancers. She grew up Lowndes County, and graduated from Pine Grove High School in the late 1950’s. She met Felton Forthe and they were married in 1961 and were married for 45 years until his death in 2005. She worked for a couple of years at C&S Bank before returning home to raise her kids and help her husband. She raised four wonderful children, being very involved in their lives and activities. Later in life she worked as a waitress at the Farm House Restaurant. She loved her family and was devoted to them. Before Felton died, he asked his brother Julian, who was a widower, to be sure and take care of Lynda. He honored his brothers wishes and they eventually fell in love and were married in December 2007. Lynda loved the beach and they split time between St. Augustine Beach and Lake Park. They were devoted fans of Lowndes Viking Football and FSU Athletics, attending all Seminole football, most baseball, and basketball games for years. They were recognized as Golden Chief Boosters. Lynda was a devoted wife, and loved her kids, grandkids, and all step children and grandchildren alike. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed working in her yard and decorating her home.
