Lucille S. Trumbo

February 4, 1916 — September 23, 2007

Lucille S. Trumbo, 91 of Lakeland, died on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital. Born in Emporia, Kansas on February 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George Fox and Dorothy Edwards Sandy. Mrs. Trumbo was a retired Kindergarten Teacher and a member of the Lakeland Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors are her daughters, Marcia Babbitt and Arlene Boettcher of Lakeland; a son, James Trumbo of Almena, Kansas; sister, Jessie Mae Yates of Lenexa, Kansas; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. at Lakeland Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Mark Piotrowski will officiate. Mrs. Trumbo will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date at Paso Robles District Cemetery in California. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
