Lucille P. Thomas, 91, of Lake Park, died on May 10, 2021, at Fellowship Home in Brooks County. Born in Mountverde, Florida, on March 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Ida Smith Prine. Mrs. Thomas had worked in the lunchroom at Lake Park Elementary School. She was a life time member of Lake Park United Methodist Church where she was very active with Helping Hands and Pathfinders. She loved to cook, and her family and friends said she was the best cook around. Lucille enjoyed the outdoors, walking around her lake and tending to her flowers. In her retirement years she loved to travel.
Survivors are her son, Stanley Scott (Alisa) Thomas of Brooks County, daughters, Sharon (Frankie) Tyson of Dasher, Pat (Dennis) Nolan of Valdosta; six grandchildren, Trey Tyson, and Fiancée Ansleigh Young of Lake Park, Blayne (Brandon) Rozier of Dasher, Dusty Thomas, Reed Thomas of Valdosta, Casey (Tripp) Yontz of Columbus, Jacob Nolan of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Lennon and Livia Rozier of Dasher, sister, Rosa Lee Pennington of Auburndale, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oswald Ruben (Archie) Thomas, and her brothers, Cecil Prine, Inis Prine, L.V. Prine, J. P. Prine, Loyce Prine, and Lonnie Prine.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lake Park United Methodist Church. Brother Larry Hauser will officiate. Burial will follow at Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday before the service at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
