Lucille Mills Small

Lucille Mills Small, 93, of Valdosta died Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. Born on May 20, 1914 in Valdosta she was the daughter of Mills and Carrie Wisenbaker. She was a descendent of the Salzburger Settlers and was the great great granddaughter of Richard Herman Wisenbaker who settled Lowndes County in the early 1800’s. She loved and supported Georgia Christian School in Dasher. Mrs. Small was a member of Dasher Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Helene Small of Bulloch County; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Marvin Goodpasture; grandchild, Shawn Goodpasture and a great grandson, Max Goodpasture all of Cookville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.W. Small, Jr.; granddaughter, Lori Goodpasture; sisters, Clifford Lynds, Maye Belle McLeod, Frances Raybon; brother, Frank Wisenbaker.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. at Dasher Church of Christ with Mr. David Nelson and Mr. Shane Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
