Lucille Menear

Lucille Menear, age 86, of Valdosta, GA, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Born December 15, 1937, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Floyce (Courson) Minton.

Lucille lived a full and vibrant life, enjoying the simple pleasures of video games, traveling, sudoku and word search puzzles, and reading. She was deeply committed to her faith and cherished her membership at New Harvest Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Mike Menear and wife Alena of Warner Robins, GA, and Brenda Morrison and husband Todd of Valdosta, GA; her grandchildren, Ryan Menear of Warner Robins, GA, Chad Menear of Thailand, Kristin Morrison of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Shaun Morrison of Valdosta, GA; her great-grandchildren, Ava and Addi Menear of Warner Robins, GA; her brothers, James, Alton, and Robert Minton; her sister, Linda Herrin; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, James Rosco Menear Jr., and two sons, Paul Allen Menear and Anthony Scott Menear.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. In the Carson Mclane Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ben Hasty will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 5pm – 7pm. Interment will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Lucille will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory and the stories of her life will continue to be cherished by those who survive her.
