Lucille Cox Bender

Lucille Cox Bender, 85, of Lake Park, GA died Monday, September 7, 2015 at her daughter's residence. She was born on February 10, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late John Cox and Effa Mary Cox. Mrs. Bender was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jeffrey Edward and Jean Bender of Oxford, MS, her daughter and son in law, Karen Lou and Greg Gouge of Lake Park, six grandchildren, Chad Bender (Lisa), Melanie Fornal (John), Rochelle Meylink (Andy), Travis Hazlewood, Jolene Picone (Greg) and Chet Hazlewood (Anita), seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Bender was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Reverend Edward Albert Bender.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park, GA with Pastor Glen Starling officiating. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. The family will receive friends from ten a. m. until eleven a. m. prior to the service.
