Lucille Cave Bloodworth

August 28, 1923 — March 10, 2008

Lucille Cave Bloodworth, 84, of Valdosta died at her residence on Monday, March 10, 2008. Born on August 28, 1923 in Stonewall County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late William and Ora Brittain Cave. Mrs. Bloodworth was retired as a nurse at South Georgia Medical Center and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Wesley Hesters of Valdosta; a granddaughter, Alicia Grady Merriman and a grandson, James Matthew Grady both of Lexington, KY; six great grandchildren and a sister, Lupe Elesia Wier of McCullen, TX. Mrs. Bloodworth was preceded in death by her husband, Archie James Bloodworth and daughter, Danna Faye Miller.

Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
