Loyad Eugene (BeBop) Ivey, 86, of Hahira died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Fellowship Home. He was born in TyTy, GA on December 31, 1933 to the late Herman E. and Alva D. Gibbs Ivey and had lived in Hahira for many years. Mr. Ivey was a retired lineman from Georgia Power and a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korean War. He loved fishing, hunting, serving as a volunteer fireman and collecting cars and antique cars.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary Ann Cameron Ivey of Hahira; a daughter, Maryann Ivey Zeigler of Hahira; grandson, Justin John and Amy Zeigler of Eustis, FL; stepsons, Jerry Richard and Lorie Luke of Sopchoppy, FL, John Kevin Luke of Valdosta; Granddaughter; Wendy Ivey Pressely, step grandchildren, Jake Luke, Brooke Sheffield, Dalton Madison Luke, Johnathan Marshall Luke, John Cameron Luke, daughter in law, Louise Ivey of Tifton; several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Eugene Ivey and a brother, James Ivey.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, October 23, 2020 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with burial following in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Parkinsons' Research or charity of your choice.
