Lowell W. Hammock

Lowell W. Hammock, 71, of Clyattville died Saturday, August 15, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Clyattville on March 24, 1949 to the late Hiram Mance and Lavinia Coody Hammock and was a lifelong resident of Clyattville. Lowell was an active member of Northside Baptist Church, a U. S. Army Veteran and retired from Packaging Corporation of America after forty seven years as a shipping supervisor. He enjoyed working in his yard, raising daylilies and tending his vegetable garden. Lowell loved travelling to Vogel State Park and the western part of the United States. He enjoyed cross stitching, reading, fishing, bowling and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Temple Hammock of Clyattville; three daughters and two sons in law, Saralyn and Chris Singletary of Hahira; Lindsey Tessin of Birmingham, AL, Whitney and Daniel Jacobs of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, Camden Singletary, Hailyn Singletary, Hank Tessin, Millie Tessin, Lucy Tessin, Avery Jacobs, Violet Boswell; two stepsons and daughter in law, Blake Boswell of California, Glenn and Holly Boswell of Valdosta; two brothers and sisters in law, Hiram and Phyllis Hammock of Colorado, Edward and Christine Hammock of Sylvester; two sisters and brothers in law, Lani and Bill Haddock of Valdosta, Sherry and Jim Love of Texas; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Robby Foster and Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Northside Baptist Church, 200 E.
