Lowell Raymond Upchurch

Lowell Raymond Upchurch, 68, of Clyattville passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on May 13, 1954 to the late William Thomas Upchurch, Sr. and Leona Carter Upchurch. Raymond was manager of Day’s Inn and a member of Ousley Baptist Church. He graduated from Lowndes High School in 1972, enjoyed fishing, hunting, sudoku and spending time with his family.

Raymond is survived by his wife of twelve years, Brandi Upchurch, son William Raymond “Billy Ray” Upchurch, daughter, Isabella Leona Upchurch, sister, Fran Upchurch (Irvin Coody), brother, Leb Upchurch (Debbie), sister, Susan Phillips (Terry), brother in law and sister in law, Dave and Shellie Buckley, Aunt, Patsy Upchurch, brother, Nat Harris and several loving nieces, nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tommy Upchurch and his uncle, Lowell Upchurch.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
