Louise Yale Sainz

Louise Yale Sainz, 93, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, peacefully after a short illness. She was born in Valdosta to the late Arthur T. & Mae Elizabeth Yale, and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Sainz grew up in Valdosta and graduated from Valdosta High School, after high school, she briefly worked at Kress Department Store in downtown Valdosta. During this time, she met a young airman from Staten Island, New York, Norman Sainz, whom she would eventually marry and become the love of her life. They were married for 67 years, prior to his death in 2012. Following his Air Force career, Norman established Sainz & Son Painting Contractors, and Mrs. Sainz helped him run and manage this business for decades. She also loved her yard and flowers, spending time working outside. Forest Park Church of Christ was her beloved church and she taught Sunday School there for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirlee Carroll and Susan Giddens, both of Valdosta; and three sons and two daughters in law, Norman Sainz, Jr. and Tammy Denley, both of Lake Park, Stephen & Melanie Sainz of Valdosta and Scott & Jeannie Sainz of Richmond Hill; nine grandchildren, Ty Sainz of Sparks, Leslie (Chris) Stewart of Orlando, Austen (Holly) Carroll, of Thomasville, Josh (Jenny) Carroll of Valdosta, Maggie (Michael) Ferguson of Valdosta, Windy Giddens (and Mark Powell) of Valdosta, Stephanie (Mike) Lindamood of Statesboro, Savanna (Michael) Page of Statesboro and Shelby Sainz (fiancée Kasey Grizzard) of Richmond Hill; and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Betty Yale of Valdosta; three brothers and a sister in law, Arthur T. Yale of Tallahassee, Donald Yale of Valdosta, and Norman & Jane Yale of Dallas, numerous nieces and nephews, and special caretakers, Angela Hart, Wendy Morrison, & Valeria Smith. Her husband Norman, a son in law, Bo Carroll, three brothers and two sisters in law, Robert & Jane Yale, Charles & Florence Yale, and Richard Yale, a sister in law, Eugenia Crosby Yale and a nephew, Paul Yale.

The funeral services for Mrs. Sainz will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Michael Page will officiate. A private family committal will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon, today, from 3 until 4 p.m. in the chapel.
