Hi Louise Turner Johnson, 95, of Valdosta, passed away at home on Friday morning, August 16, 2024. Mrs. Johnson was born in Valdosta on July 3, 1929, to the late Jim and Amanda Duke Turner.
A homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother, Louise was an enthusiastic gardener. She was a long-time faithful member of Central Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors are her two sons and a daughter, Lee Stubbs, Ann (Glenn) Cooper, Joe (Kelly) Stubbs all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Dawn (David) Carter, Brad Cooper, Taylor (Miranda) Stubbs all of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Danielle (Clint) Clements of Valdosta, Deanna (Bobby) Rice of Lake Park, Dawson Carter of Valdosta; great great grandchildren, Rory Rice, and John Ross Clements; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family. Louise is preceded in death by her husbands, Hoyt L. Stubbs, and Julian Johnson, three brothers, three sisters, and a grandchild, Erin Stubbs.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Central Avenue Church of Christ. Mr. John Klimko will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday at 5:00 p.m. until service time. Mrs. Johnson will be cremated.
The family suggests live plants in lieu of cut flowers, or donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia. Condolences may be shared online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home has been entrusted to care for the Johnson family.
