Louise Dennis Herrington, 85, of Echols County died on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Holly Hill Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was born in Lake Okeechobee, Florida on September 3, 1927 to the late John and Armenda Morgan Sutton. She was the past owner and operator for twenty plus years of the Union Coffee Shop in Valdosta. She was of the Baptist faith and her life was centered around her children, grandchildren, and other family members. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her and cherish her memory.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Fadwa and Ashley Deloach of Statenville; a daughter, Michelle Church of Statenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Herrington of Valdosta; grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Stanley Greene of Virginia, Danny and Rebecca Deloach of Papua New Guinea, Jamie and Brandi Deloach of Echols County, Sally Deloach of Douglas, Georgia, Mike and Carolee Henderson of Valdosta, Brack and Erin Deloach, Ash'Lyn Carter, Mitchell and Renee Church, Kurt and Kristi Church, Carlton and Denise Church all of Echols County, Tanner Herrington, Gatlin Herrington and Inde Herrington all of Valdosta; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pearlie Yeager, Lee Crumbley and Opal Peterson; a brother, Archie Sutton and a sister, Fay Higgs; sisters-in-law, Willie Sutton and Linda Sutton; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mitchell A. Dennis and Earl Herrington; a grandson, Robin Deloach; son-in-law, Buck Church; brothers and a sister-in-law, Bud and Jewel Sutton, John Sutton; two sisters, Mary Ann Corbit and Evelyn Kozuch; brother, Roy Sutton; brothers-in-law, Allen Yeager, Hubert Crumbley and Pete Peterson.
Services for Louise Dennis Herrington will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Sanders and Rev. Austin Deloach, Jr. officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
