Louis Nathey

The good Lord called the light of our life, Louis Nathey, 54, of Ray City home Saturday May 26, 2007. Louis was the most wonderful and considerate best friend, husband, and dad that anyone on this earth would or could ever ask for. With a lifetime of love, bondment, two hearts joined to one that will remain in wife and son’s heart until they go home to see him.

Louis left behind the love of his life, Pat Nathey. Louis helped Pat give living guidance to their son Derek, and he cherished every minute with his son Derek. Derek cherished it as well. Derek’s future wife, Kelly, and their son, Bubba, will miss Papa very much. Louis also leaves behind his loving sister, Beverly who will miss him greatly. Louis has two uncles, Ellis and L. J. Nathey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Nathey and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J. Nathey preceded Louis in death. Louis owned Nathey’s Custom Cabinets in Valdosta, GA. When Louis was not working with wood, he loved to go fishing with his wife, Pat. : Louis was a joy to those he knew and he will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 11 AM in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev Brian Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 10 AM until service time.
