Louie Raymond (Sonny) Maloney

Louie Raymond (Sonny) Maloney, 73, of Hahira died Friday, October 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Cecil, Georgia on November 6, 1941 to the late Louie Milton and Louelle Johnson Maloney and had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Maloney was retired from Holland Oil Company. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and college football and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hall Maloney of Hahira, his children and their spouses, Tammy and Henry Moran, Louie and Cheryl Maloney all of Cocoa, FL, Tanya and Lloyd Hill of Charlotte, NC; 10-grandchildren, 13-great grandchildren, 12-step great grandchildren; three sisters and brothers in law, Iris and Kent Thomas, Doris and Randy Smith all of Adel, Bettie and Roland O'Neill of Panama City, FL; two brothers in law and sisters in law, Randy and Sherry Hall of Crawfordville, FL and Travis and Rose Hall of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Maloney Hernandez.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Jeremy Maloney officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Martin/McLane Funeral Home, P. O.
