LOUIE AMOS RADNEY, SR., 74, of Hahira died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on February 24, 1932 in Moultrie to the late Judge Thornton “Big Daddy” and Viola Hart Radney and was a lifelong resident of Brooks and Lowndes Counties. Mr. Radney was a self employed service station owner and operator and loved to work in his yard and fish. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Watson Radney of Hahira, three sons and two daughters in law, Louie A., Jr. and Beth Radney of Hahira, Jerry and Cheryl Radney of Valdosta, Ronnie L. Radney of Clyattville, his grandchildren, Marsie Radney, Jason Radney, Kasie Radney, Kraven Radney, Cody Radney, April Radney, Jodi Radney, Ron Radney, Jr., J. T. Radney, Jeremy Radney and Donnie L. Radney, Jr., Mary Folsom, Paul Folsom II, Alisa Watson, Kaitlyn Watson, Heather Watson and Scott Watson, several great grandchildren, stepsons and stepdaughters in law, Mike and Kathy Watson, Allen and Faye Watson all of Hahira, one brother and two sisters in law, Raymond C. and Jean Radney of Adel, Betty Radney of Morven, numerous nieces and nephews, a special friend, Mary Lyles of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie L. Radney, a grandson, Bryan Radney, a stepdaughter, Jackie Folsom and a brother, Lowell Radney.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. James White and Rev. Colbert Croft officiating.
