Lottie C. Culpepper, 80, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born August 5, 1930 in Bern, Switzerland and had lived in Germany, where she met her future husband, Donald O. "Buck" Culpepper. The couple married in Germany and she moved to Valdosta in 1954. Mrs. Culpepper enjoyed traveling, playing games, swimming, and being with her family.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Eva and John Plowden of Valdosta; son, William O. "Billy" Culpepper of Killeen, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Craig Bennett of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Christy and husband Robert Hawkins, Dawn and husband Allan Jepson, Travis Bennett, and Brandon Culpepper; four great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Hawkins, Brady Jepson, Micah Hawkins, and Kelsey Jepson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband; a brother, Paul Milchien; and a sister, Tilly Milchien.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Culpepper will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Riverview Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Jerry Long officiating.
