Lori Jakubowski

Lori Jakubowski, 49, peacefully was called home to Jesus on April 17th, 2020 with her loving parents by her side, in Valdosta, GA.
Lori was born on August 18, 1970 and spent her childhood in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Lori later moved with her family to Tampa, FL and then Valdosta, GA. No matter where she lived, she made a lasting impression on those that knew her with her infectious smile and warm hugs.
Lori’s biggest love in her life was her family. She is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Steve and Cass, siblings Amy (Dennis) Murphy of Cochranville, Pa, Katie (John) Nickel of Tampa, FL and Stephen (Chelsea) Jakubowski of Williamsburg, VA along with her nieces and nephews, Erin, Dennis, Patrick, Elizabeth, Abby and Paige.
Those that were blessed to know Lori knew of her love for music, particularly Barry Manilow whom she saw in concert many times. She loved to sing and dance and was the life of the party at any wedding or event that she attended. Her favorite dance partner was her lifelong friend, Michael Kmiec whom she made so many beautiful memories with. She was a lover of math, word searches, puzzles and making latch hook rugs. She loved to play games and was known to roll a Yahtzee more than anyone. She loved to swim and swing on a swing set and could spend hours doing so. She loved road trips and staying in hotels. She was a foodie who enjoyed dining out and her favorite time of day was snack time where she preferred chocolate cake.
Family and friends will gather to remember her beautiful life at a later date.
The sound of Lori’s laugh and the feeling of her hugs will warm her family’s hearts forever. Memorial contributions may be made to honor Lori to St. Francis Center or Hospice of South Georgia, both in Valdosta, GA.
