Loretta Bruce Ring

Loretta Bruce Ring, 86, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Heritage House Nursing Home. Born on November 12, 1921 in Dixie, she was the daughter of the late Will and Eula Bruce. Mrs. Ring was retired from ITT Metal Products after working in production for 35 years. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bill Herring of Valdosta; grandchildren and their spouses, Marc Herring, Gina and David Roffe, Jessica and Hugo Torres all of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Shawn and Kira Roffe, Angel Herring, all of Valdosta; sister, Eugenia Brooks of Barwick, brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Evanell Bruce of Brooks County, Boyd and Myrtle Bruce of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Marguerite Davis of Roswell, special family members, Evelyn and Marion Coombs of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ring was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Ring and brothers, Ervin Bruce and Sam Bruce.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 at Carson McLane Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel with Dr. Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
