Linda Crouch Wetherington, 56 of Hahira and formerly of Atlanta, died on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 26, 1948 in Valdosta and was a member of the Azalea City Church of God. Mrs. Wetherington was a very loving mother, grandmother, and a very strong woman with a will to live. She was a devoted and beloved worker and co-worker at Wal-Mart.
Survivors are her husband, Russell Wetherington of Hahira; son, Rick Crouch (Donna) of Clyattville; daughters, Missy Love (Bobby) of Williamson, GA, Mandy Taylor and special friend Chase Moore of Zebulon, GA; mother, Mary Lou Frier of Valdosta; grandchildren, Ashley Boyd of Valdosta, Rob and Deanna Love of Williamson, Joey Sorrows of Zebulon, Whitney Crouch of Clyattville; brothers, Archie Frier (Sharron) of Titusville, FL, Bobby Frier (Helen) of Statenville, Shelton Frier (Joan) of Hahira; sisters, Louise Stanley (Gerdine) of Valdosta, Dorothy Smith of Valdosta; parents-in-law, Marie and Russell Wetherington of Hahira, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Crouch and her father, Ollie Albert Frier.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
