Lillian J. Hiers

Lillian J. Hiers, 94, of Valdosta, died on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Fellowship Home following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 3, 1926 in Beaumont, Mississippi to the late Percy Jones and Helen Adams May. She was a dedicated homemaker and helped out her husband in the running of L.B.’s Lounge. She loved to work in her garden, cook, and go shopping but especially enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren. Mrs. Hiers was a member of First Christian Church
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Avy Hiers of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Cliff Hiers, Kim Coker, Jimmy Hiers, Jr., Pam Spradlin, and Chris Hiers; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years and the love of her life, L.B. Hiers; her son, Burnice Hiers; a daughter, Ann Hiers Sutton, and her brother, Carl Jones.
