Lillian Hill Paulk

Lillian Hill Paulk, 83, of Valdosta, died on Friday, June 22, 2007, at her home. Born in Chula, Georgia on December 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Ross and Jessie Irene Hill. Mrs. Paulk was a telephone operator and was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, South Carolina.

Survivors are her daughters and a son in law, Judy and Sonny Power of Orlando, Florida, Jane Bailey of Orlando, Florida, son and daughter in law, Ira C., Jr., and Sandy Paulk of Taylors, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Marchant of Valdosta, Betty Paulk of Tampa, Florida, and a brother and sister in law, C. R. and Christine Hill of Smyrna, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira C. Paulk, Sr., two brothers, Ross Hill and Bobby Hill, a sister and a brother in law, Marie and R. M. Powell.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend David Stalvey will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 -8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia.
