Lewis H. Calamita

April 14, 1921 — April 16, 2009

Lewis H. Calamita, 89, of Valdosta, Georgia and former resident of Louisville, Kentucky, died on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Valdosta. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut on April, 14, 1921 to the late Harry and Mae Calamita. He was retired from Trans America Insurance Company having served as Vice-President for the Midwest zone. He was a WWII veteran having served in China, Burma and India and he was a Catholic.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Weymouth of Valdosta, Georgia, and Thomas (Kathy) Weymouth of Memphis, New York; two daughters, Shelia Wright of Louisville, Kentucky, and Laura (Todd) Staley of Louisville, Kentucky.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Louisville. In accordance with his wishes Mr. Calamita will be cremated. Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta, Georgia is serving the Calamita family. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Carson McLane
