Leroy Westmoreland

Leroy Westmoreland, 80, of Valdosta, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his residence. Leroy was born on July 30, 1944, in Copperhill, TN, to the late George Edward and Mamie Leo Westmoreland. Leroy was never seen without a smile on his face, he was very genuine, witty and had a way with words. He was a good-hearted man that could always make everyone laugh. He was an avid gardener who loved gardening with Mary Ann. He loved the Lord and his family with his whole heart, he lived for his Toot and his three girls. He loved his westerns especially Gunsmoke.

Mr. Westmoreland was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Kessler Westmoreland, his brothers, Charles Westmoreland, John Westmoreland, Jake Westmoreland and sister Carolyn Rice.

He is survived by his daughters Teresa (Duane) Cunningham, of Valdosta, Connie Renee (Sam) Simmons, of Dallas, GA, Leigh Ann (Jamie) Fowler, of Cedartown GA; grandchildren, Rick Pearson (Stephanie) of Valdosta, Tiffany (Juan) Deen, of San Diego, CA; Duane Cunningham of Valdosta, Chelse Cunningham of Valdosta, Staci Pearson, of Dallas, GA; Tanner (Andrea) Touhy, of Calhoun, GA; Hunter (Kalee) Touhy, of Calhoun, GA; Kevin (Stephanie) Simmons of Cedartown, GA; Tyler (Kelcie) Westmoreland, of Canton, GA; Kristen Hardin, Josh Hardin, James (Josie) Fowler, of Carrollton, GA; Bryan (Lashay) Fowler, of Carrollton, GA; his brother Kenneth (Donna) Westmoreland, of White, GA: sister Marilyn Smith of Texas; and twenty four great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Services for Mr. Westmoreland will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Pearson officiating.
