Leonard Yeomans

June 25, 1953 — December 30, 2014

Mr. Leonard Yeomans went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 and departed this life at his residence in Barney surrounded by his wife and children.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Martin-McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Colquitt County. The viewing will be held on Friday, January 2, from 6-8 p.m. A special video of Leonard's last performance with his family will be shown at 12 p.m. prior to the start of the service. Interment will follow
Leonard was born in Quitman to William Riley and Ethel Yeomans on June 25, 1953. He was raised in Brooks County and eventually left home to serve in the United States Army from 1972-76. On January 22, 1982, Leonard married his lovely wife, Donna.
Leonard and Donna gave their life to Christ on January 5, 2001, and answered the call into the ministry shortly thereafter. For many years, Leonard traveled with his family ministering through singing and preaching. Leonard attended Pentecostal Deliverance Center in Jennings, Florida.
Leonard's passions were sharing Jesus Christ with others through singing, testifying and preaching. He enjoyed watching western movies and rooted for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Riley Yeomans; mother, Ethel M. Shirley Yeomans; two sisters, Lucille Yeomans Inman and Willie May Yeomans Brown; four brothers, Joe Yeomans, James Yeomans, W.R. Yeomans, and Benny Yeomans; and one granddaughter, Ashlyn Grace Yeomans.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Cercy Yeomans; one son, Justin (Kristina) Yeomans; six daughters, Leslie Jones, Amy (Donny) Bartow, Carrie (Robbie) Bishop, Sheri Craven, Alison (Tommy) Thigpen, and Stephanie (Bryant) Thigpen; and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Beck Yeomans and Arnold Yeomans; and two sisters, Carolyn Wilson and Shirley Jean Smith.
