Leonard Thomas (Tommy) Raulerson, 72, of Waycross, died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at his residence. Born on July 18, 1942 in Howell, Georgia to the late Louis and Gladys Parrish Raulerson, he was a native of Echols County and lived in Haylow until moving to Waycross about 4 years ago. He loved the woods of Echols County and spent time there hunting, hiking and enjoying the beauty of the woods. He retired from the State of Georgia and was a beekeeper his whole life.. He was a member of the Sue Bee Honey Association. Mr. Raulerson was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Margie Raulerson of Waycross; two step-sons, Gene Toole and Jeffrey Toole both of Waycross; a step-daughter and her spouse, Tonia and Mike Bradley of Jesup, Georgia; 2 step-grandchildren; a brother, Kelly Raulerson of Albany; two nephews, David Raulerson of Asheville, North Carolina and Nathaniel of Douglasville, Georgia; a niece, Robin Mehler of Asheville, North Carolina; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services for Tommy Raulerson will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. The burial will follow in the Wayfare Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
