Lena White

Lena Ann Kinchen White, 59, of Lake Park, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born April 11, 1953 in Lakeland, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Hackle Kinchen. She was a graduate of Lowndes County High School and Valdosta State University. She received Christ as Lord and Savior in 1961 in the Baptist faith and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Lena worked as a teacher for the Madison County School System and was a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, William Oliver White, Jr. of Lake Park; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Lloyd White of Lake Park and Brandon Charles and Jillian Tinsley of Clyattville; three step-daughters and step sons-in-law, Linda and Hugh Gay of Lakeland, GA, Monica & Dave Besecker of Charlotte, NC and Peggy and Larry Arnold of Monks Corner, SC; two step-sons and step daughters-in-law, David and Karia White of Homerville, John and Tommie Ruth White of Lakeland, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Juan Alonso of Hahira; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Peggy Kinchen of Valdosta, Robert and Lynda Taylor of Lakeland, FL and Leon and Bonnie White of Yulee, FL. She is also survived by fifteen step-grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; three nephews, Michael Kinchen of Valdosta, Brandon Taylor of Lakeland, FL and Mark Kinchen of Beavercreek, OH; two nieces, Catherine Storey of Hahira and Marvell McIlmail of Palmer, AK and three sisters-in-law, Mary Kinchen of Nashville, Etta Kinchen of Colorado Springs, CO and Elaine Kinchen of Lake Park. Along with her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Leon Kinchen, James Charles Kinchen, Benny Kay Kinchen and Jesse Michael Kinchen.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am with Rev. Murrell Bennett officiating, burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery in Lake Park.
