Lee G. Wilson

Lee G. Wilson, 74 of Valdosta died on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Lakehaven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born if Tifton, Georgia to the late Joe B. and Ora Lee Cowart Griffin on December 7, 1934. She was a retired owner/operator of two local beauty shops known as Lee's Chateau of Beauty, and she was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Dr. Robert (Bob) W. Wilson of Valdosta; two daughters and son-in-law, Janice and George Scruggs of Valdosta and Debra Wilson of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Jason Clements and his wife Cathy of Atlanta, Kyle Berry of New York, New York; two great-grandchildren, Eon Berry of New York, New York, and Dylan Rose Clements of Atlanta; a brother, Rossie Griffin of Adel; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond (Buddy) Griffin.

Services for Lee G. Wilson will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Michael officiating.Entombment will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.Visitation for Lee G. Wilson will be held on sunday from 4 till 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 415 Cowart Ave., Valdosta Georgia 31602.
