L.C. "Hun" Mcgee, Jr.

L.C. "Hun" McGee, Jr., 78, of Valdosta died suddenly at his residence on Monday, July 20, 2015. He was born on September 5, 1936 in Pavo, Georgia to the late Leon Curtis, Sr., and Daisy Bell Jefferson McGee and has been a resident of the Valdosta area his whole life. He was the owner operator of McGee's Body Shop and was of the Christian faith. He was an upright man who always looked on the bright side of life and found the best in others. He had a kind and caring heart and shared his faith with others. Mr. McGee was also well versed as a musician and could play several instruments including the guitar, banjo, and fiddle. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Angela Victoria and Phillip Wyatt of Valdosta, Abby Rozar of Valdosta, and Marianne Young of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Chris Rogers and his wife, Sara of Valdosta, Shaina Ann Palmer of Anchorage Alaska, Rand Scoggins, Jr., of Tampa, Florida, William Anthony Young of Anchorage, Alaska, and Justin Rozar of Valdosta; his great-grandchildren, Andrew Rogers, Tristen L.C. Young, and Carly Ann Rogers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Reagan, and his brother, Robert McGee, and a son-in-law, John Rozar.

Services for L.C. McGee, Jr., will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
