Lawrence (Larry) Ryan, Jr.

LAWRENCE ( LARRY ) RYAN, JR., 85, of Valdosta died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1922 in Beloit, Wisconsin to the late Lawrence, Sr. and Evelyn Wadley Ryan and had lived in Valdosta for four years. He was retired from the Heating and Air Conditioning Service Industry. Mr. Ryan was a Catholic and a graduate of Florida State University. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. He was a survivor of the USS Yorktown and a member of the CV-5 Club.

Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Harriett and Joe Hester of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Charley Hester of Valdosta, Kevin Ryan, Bobby Ryan and Leslie Ryan all of Tallahassee, Fla., four great grandchildren, Breanna Hester and Emma Hester both of Valdosta and Jonathan Ryan and Lauren Ryan both of Tallahassee, Fla., He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Tolbert Ryan of Valdosta and three sons, Bud Ryan, Jim Ryan and Patrick Ryan and a daughter, Peachie Ryan and all of Tallahassee, Fla.

In accordance with Mr. Ryan’s request he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date at the Omega Cemetery in Omega, Georgia.
