Laverne Dot Yost, of Hahira, died at her residence on Friday, July 27, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Carl Dean and Dottie Idora Sineath Hamner. She was a homemaker and served as Vice Chairman of the Annual Honey Bee Festival in Hahira.
Survived include two daughters, Earnestine Hooker of Hahira, Dorothy Ann Christensen and husband Don of Orlando, FL. one son and daughter in law, Hayes and Peggy Carter of Clyo, GA; thirteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one great great grandchildren, sister in law, Alma Hamner of Cecil; a dear & special sister friend, Dot Stalvey. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Carter; brothers, Hugh Hamner, Claude Hamner, Charlie Hamner; sisters, Mamie Sorrell, Clyde Jackkson, Willene Pope.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2007 in the Chapel of Martin McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch cemetery.
