Laura H. Parkos, 74, of Valdosta, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Faribault, Minnesota on April 23, 1933 to the late Christian and Lydia Growth Jensen. Mrs. Parkos was a homemaker and of the catholic faith.
She is survived by three daughters and one son in law, Patricia Ann Hall of Sonora, California, Chantil Marie and Kenneth Davis of Clyattville, Kathleen Mary Miles of Lake Park, one son and daughter in law, John Howard and Jennifer Parkos of Jacksonville, Florida, ten grandchildren, Kara Leandra Baker, Emalee Elyse Powell, Lili Elizabeth Powell, Jessica AnnMarie Davis, Sierra Nicole Davis, Carson Ryan Davis, Andrew Allan Miles, Jamie Lee Miles, Katie Laura Miles and Aaron Von Miles, two great grandchildren, Joshua Baker and David Lawton Nix, one sister, Violet Radick of Waseca, Minnesota and one brother, Exaidia Jensen of Farwell, Minnesota. Mrs. Parkos is predeceased by her husband, John Dale Parkos.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
