Latrelle Barker-Pace

Latrelle Griffin Barker Pace, 82, of Hahira, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Live Oak, Florida on October 4, 1940, to the late Lonnie and Cora Ellis Griffin. She was a homemaker who loved to collect salt and pepper shakers along with other wot-knots and trinkets and was known as an excellent cook. She put those talents of cooking to use when she worked with the Apple Valley Cafe in Hahira. She had also been employed with Queen's Carpet following her time at Apple Valley. Mrs. Pace was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Pace of Hahira; her daughter, Janice Clanton of Cecil; her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Pam Hurst of Quitman; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2

great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Vinson and Sue Rowan both of Hahira. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Gibbs; two sisters, Verna Smith and Mary Alice Tompkins, and a brother, Thomas Lonnie Griffin.

A graveside service for Latrelle Griffin Barker Pace will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the New Lois Cemetery.
