Larry Sauls, 64, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, March 01, 2017 at his residence following a short illness. He was born in Lowndes County on November 18, 1952 to the Roy and Eldora Padgett Sauls and has been a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Sauls served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was a retired mechanic with Roadway. He loved to fish, tell jokes, pull pranks, and tinkering with his boat.
Survivors include his four legged companion, Buddy; his daughters and sons-in-law, Melody and Donn Stanfill, and Melissa and Greg Register all of Valdosta; step-sons, Baron Paulo, and Duke and Teresa Paulo all of Valdosta; nine grandchildren, Will and Courtney Paulo, Dillon Paulo, Taylor Stanfill, Eric Paulo, Tristan Paulo, Alana Paulo, Mia Stanfill, Emma Register, and Abby Register; a sister, Lynda Carpenter of Lake Park; sister-in-law, Molly Sauls and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Blanchard; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Noelle Sauls; his sister, Carolyn Blanchard and a brother, Randall Sauls.
Services for Larry Sauls will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
