Larry Lindon Cofield

Larry Lindon Cofield, 61, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Valdosta, he was born on August 7, 1958 to the late Austin Lindon Cofield and Katie Ruth Young Cofield. He loved to fish, enjoyed music, drawing, and played guitar. He was a master carpenter who loved to work with wood. He enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Cofield is survived by his wife Vicki Cofield; his daughter Brandi Cofield Sumner (Wade); two sons Elijah Miller (Heather), and Joshua Miller (Haley), all of Valdosta; nine grandchildren Aubrey Brooks Michek (DJ), Trenton Brooks, both of Valdosta, Cash Sumner, of Jacksonville, Kane Miller, Mya Miller, Zoey Miller, all of Valdosta, Michael Lindon Miller, of Quitman, Caedence Miller, and Anslie Miller, both of Valdosta; four brothers Pete Cofield (Mary), of Warner Robins, Bull (Dale) Cofield, of Valdosta, Jerry Cofield (Robin), of Tampa, FL, and Bill Cofield (Glenda), of Naylor; three sisters Linda Montgomery, of Ty Ty, GA, Trish Kelly (Jim), of Austin, TX, and Pat Peacock (Steve), of Moultrie; a brother in law Donald Apperson (Ruthie); and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Cofield was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Joshua Gauge Miller, two brothers in law David Apperson, and Wallace Montgomery, and one sister in law Judy Cofield.
Funeral services for Mr. Cofield will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery.
