L. T. Sellars, 80, of Valdosta, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Mitchell County, GA on April 8, 1930 to the late J. M. Sellars and Annie Mae Hasty Sellars. Mr. Sellars was retired from Bell South after thirty years of service, served in the United States Army and the Korean War. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Mr. Sellars is survived by one son and daughter in law, Terry and Sharon Sellars of Ludowici, GA, one daughter and son in law, Lori and Bill Spells of Lake Park, seven grandchildren, Leah (Paul) Massey, Jared (Heather) Sellars, Matthew (Brittany) Sellars, Dustin Wisor, Angie (Donald) Hendley, Billie Jo (Oscar) Fernandez, William (Jessica) Spells, eleven great grandchildren, Abby Sellars, Maddie Sellars, Aimee Massey, Aidan Massey, Dylan Massey and Derek Massey, Sophie Sellars, Shauna Maestas, Lauren Hendley, Will Spells, Gab Trey, two brothers and one sister in law, Jerry and Bonita Sellars of Valdosta and Mickey Sellars of Alma, three sisters and one brother in law, Inear Fulford of Palatka, FL, Gladys Folsom of Lake Park and Peggy and Larry Clower of Roswell, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Inez Clanton Sellars on May 18, 2010 and is also preceded in death by his parents and two great grandchildren, Hannah Sellars and Parker Hendley.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at four p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Mr. Sellars son, Reverend Terry Sellars and Reverend Earl Kicklighter officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from three until four p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
