Kenneth Edward Sutton

Kenneth Edward Sutton, 69, of Valdosta died on Friday, June 11, 2010 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Valdosta on June 8, 1941 to the late Bernice Allen and Mildred Edna Smith Sutton. Mr. Sutton was self-employed working appliance repair. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 Years, Harriet Sutton of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Louis Rumph also of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Shane Rumph, Tyler Rumph, Jessica Rumph, and Kaylee Rumph all of Valdosta; two brothers, Ronald Sutton and Billy Sutton of Valdosta; a sister, Betty Rudd also of Valdosta; sister-in-law, Ruby Edwards of North Carolina, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joyce Dixon; brother-in-law, Harvey Dixon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike Gilliam; sister-in-law, Jeannie Dixon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Angela Dixon all of Valdosta; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darlene and Charles Keeling of Adel; numerous nieces and nephews; faithful friend and canine companion, Junior. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Edward Sutton; brother, Fred Sutton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Myrl Dixon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Marie Dixon; sisters-in-law, Martha Sutton, Louella Dixon and Frances Parker; brothers-in-law, Woodrow Dixon, Robert Rudd and Earl Edwards.

Services for Kenneth Sutton will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Allen officiating. The burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
