Kenneth Dale Prysi

Kenneth Dale Prysi, 94, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on January 27, 1920 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to the late John E. and Mary L. Briggs Prysi. He served 27 years in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He served his country in Africa during WWII and retired in 1967 as a recruiter based in Valdosta. Mr. Prysi was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Gail and Edward Santus of Valdosta, Judith Ann and Dr. Ear Simpson of Crestview, Florida, and Della Sue and Don Black of Easley, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Christopher Santus of Cumbola, Pennsylvania, Michael Santus of San Ramon, California, Melody Fesperman and Brett Simpson both of St. Petersburg, Florida; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna McMurray and a brother, Jimmy Prysi both of New Philadelphia, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Prysi.

A private family memorial service for Kenneth Dale Prysi will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the family residence at 340 Gonwood Circle Valdosta, Georgia 31602 on Thursday, August 7, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the United Hospice Foundation, 1626 Jeurgens Court, Norcross, Georgia 30093.
