Katie Mallory

Katie Mallory, 67, of Valdosta, went to join her Lord on Monday, January 24, 2011. Born in Columbus, Georgia on July 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Glenzal and Denell Gilley Yarbrough and widow of the late Lt. Col. USAF Retired, Lue B. Mallory. Mrs. Mallory was a member of Evangel Assembly of God. She had worked at Walmart for 15 years and at the Valdosta Daily Times for 25 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.

Survivors are her daughters and a son in law, Brenda and Scott Dallas of Valdosta, Shirley Spells of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Robert and wife Miki Spells, Candice Maples, Clint Clements, Savannah Dallas; two great grandchildren, Kaili Spells and Malia Spells.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Bob Willis will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
