Kathryn Yvonne Folsom Morris

Kathryn Yvonne Folsom Morris, 44 of Hahira, died suddenly on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at her residence. Born on September 7, 1961 in Valdosta, she was the daughter of the late Elton Brown Folsom and Roddelle Brantley Folsom. She graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia. She was formerly employed in the Horticulture Department at Valdosta State University and was a homemaker. Mrs. Morris was a member of First Baptist Church of Valdosta.

Survivors are her husband, Jimmy Morris of Quitman; step children, Katie Morris, Kirt Morris; aunts, Lula Finney, Audrey Folsom; cousins, Benny and Margaret Carter of Jacksonville, FL, Steven and JoAnn Carter and Stephanie Carter all of Virginia, Ben Carter of Jacksonville, FL, Carol Folsom Smith, and numerous other relatives. She was also preceded in death by an aunt, Kathryn Folsom Carter.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2005 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Mac Weaver officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
