Kathryn Shaw Brady

Kathryn Shaw Brady, 89, of Valdosta died on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Langdale Hospice House following a brief illness. She was born in Valdosta on January 17, 1922 to the late Brodie and Louella Kirk Shaw and has been a resident here her entire life. She was retired from AT&T as an Assistant Chief Operator and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Brady of Atlanta; a son, James Brady of Valdosta; two granddaughters Lisa Herring (Joey) of Lake Park, and Marti Redding (Jerry) of Hahira; great-grandchildren, Joshua Redding, Jamie Redding, Jeremey Redding, Holly Redding, Matt Jones, Joley Herring, Sam Herring, and Landon Herring; four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holly Leroy Brady, and a son, Joseph Franklin Brady.

A graveside service for Kathryn Brady will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jim Schappaugh officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
